Factplay corrects factual errors openly. Articles are not quietly edited to remove mistakes.
How to report an error
Email report@factplay.xyz with the article URL and the specific claim you believe is wrong. If you can point to a primary document, include it — that gets the fix made faster.
Every report gets a reply, including the ones where the original stands.
How corrections are handled
Factual error — the article is corrected and a dated correction note is appended at the foot of the piece, stating what was wrong and what it now says. The correction is added to the log below.
Clarification — where the facts were right but the wording was misleading, the text is amended and a dated clarification note is appended.
Update — where new information changes the picture after publication, an update is added with its own date. The original text is not deleted.
Typographical fixes — spelling, punctuation, and broken links are fixed without a note.
Headlines are corrected under the same rules as body text. If a headline overstated something, it is changed and the change is logged.
